Get Your Zumba On!

The lovely Sharon led a short class for our group in Zumba last night!    Rhythm matters with Zumba (I don't have it!) but I kept my feet moving.      Zumba is a new fitness class soon to be offered by the YMCA and if you love all things Latin this is the class for you.   

We talked about healthy eating - portions and reading labels.  Salt and sugar is in EVERYTHING!  Do your grocery shopping in the outer aisles and you can avoid processed foods.

Snack Time

Lose to Win on Saturday was awesome!  We played basketball and other fun games to get us moving and more importantly, laughing!        25 years after high school PE and I am still too short to play basketball!

For tonight's class we have to bring in a fave snack - AND it doesn't have to healthy... am bringing my kryptonite - Old Dutch Salt n' Vinegar chips.         Am curious george to see what my fellow classmates will bring.   Will they be true to themsleves or try to impress everyone with a "healthy choice??!"

Goal Setting Matters!

Talked about setting goals at Lose to Win last night and I am beginning to realize how important it is to ensure success.    Having milestones to reach make it real.  Saturday we are doing Zumba and Ripped classes - can't wait!

Missed last Saturday...

Missed the LoseTo Win class over the Thanksgiving long weekend but I was still busy!  Raked lots of leaves and cut the grass.  Strangely, as soon as the leaves were raked the wind blew tons more off the trees!  Grrr!  More raking in my future!

Class tonight and I am excited!  Have to get an Ipod or the like so I can listen to my tunes...

Lose To Win Class 5

Missed Saturday's class because of the Y Champions Hockey weekend but made up for it last night!  Did 40 minutes on the treadmill and loved it.  We had our measurements taken too....  that might be a better indicator of my progress than the scale!
